“Everything is dual; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree.”
Every pair of opposites — heat and cold, love and hate, courage and fear — are the same thing measured at different points on one scale. Because they share a nature, the mind can slide a feeling from one pole toward the other by changing its degree.
How to apply it
When fear rises, name its opposite (courage) and deliberately turn the dial toward it.
Remember that hate is just love at a low degree — you change the degree, not the substance.
Reframe a 'problem' as the low pole of an opportunity that shares its nature.
