“Nothing is good or bad, large or small, until you relate it to something else.”
Everything is neutral until compared. Each person receives a series of challenges to strengthen the light within, and meaning is assigned by the comparisons we choose. Relate your situation to something harder and gratitude appears; relate it to perfection and lack appears.
How to apply it
Reframe a hardship by relating it to a meaningful 'why' rather than to other people's highlight reels.
When discouraged, compare downward (how far you've come) before comparing upward.
Remember that the size of any problem depends entirely on what you measure it against.
